Our extra-curricular highlights
School Sports
Our sports, swimming and cross-country carnivals are held during the early part of the year. Students who excel in these events have the opportunity to progress to zone and regional levels. Throughout the year, our school also participates in a range of sporting competitions, including soccer, cricket, basketball, rugby league, touch football and netball.
Creative and performing arts
Creative and performing arts are an important part of learning at our school. Students can participate in Star Struck, dance groups, choir and band, building confidence, teamwork and a sense of belonging through creative expression.
Interest based clubs
We offer a range of interest-based clubs that encourage students to explore their interests and build new skills. Our debating team helps students develop confidence in speaking and teamwork, while our gardening group supports learning about plants, sustainability and caring for our school grounds.
Cultural activities
Our school celebrates diversity through cultural clubs and activities, including NAIDOC Day, Harmony Day and other cultural events. These experiences help students explore different traditions, develop respect for diversity, and connect with their peers and the wider school community.
Trips and excursions
All students have the opportunity to take part in out-of-school excursions that support and extend their learning. These experiences bring classroom learning to life and allow students to explore new environments. In the past, we have visited places such as Taronga Zoo, and most recently our Stage 3 students enjoyed an overnight camp where they explored the Bathurst goldfields.
Student leadership opportunities
Student leadership is highly valued at our school. Our captains, vice captains and SRC representatives help lead events, support younger students and model our school values. These roles give students the chance to build confidence, responsibility and pride in contributing to our school community.
Public speaking
Students at our school can represent us in zone-level public speaking competitions. These opportunities help students build confidence, communication and critical thinking skills, while learning to engage an audience and take pride in representing their school.
High potential and gifted learners
Our school offers opportunities for high-potential and gifted learners to extend their skills through specialised art and music groups. These programs allow students to work on advanced projects, collaborate with peers from other schools, and develop creativity, critical thinking and social connections.
